His name is Bubba Watson and today millions of people know him as a golf star. He openly and boldly preaches his faith in Jesus Christ. But it was not always so. Read the story of how Jesus turned his life around!
Today this man got it all. He is famous, rich, happily married and successful. You can see him riding a cool hovercraft on the gold field. How cool is that?
But this is not the way he born. His heart was full of fears at all times. He struggled with so many things and even reading the Bible did not help much. He was afraid of darkness, of houses falling down on him and of height. He had to take medicine and get regular consultations of psychiatrists.
He grew up in a small town in Florida, USA. Since he was six, golf was the center of his life. All his spare time Bubba spent training. He made rapid success in golf, but lost the main battle in his mind. By the time he entered college things really got out of control.
By that time he met his wife Angie. He had it all, but inside he lost himself to fears and madness. Things were falling apart; Bubba was falling apart… until. He met the Lord Jesus!
In the early years he used to go to church and read the Bible. However, he did not have that personal encounter with God. Only Jesus could transform his life. God sent him people to tell the Good News.
One of his caddies (the servant boys) was a Christian. He told him of Jesus. Instead of golf, his mind got refocused on God. He realized that golfing and fame is just an open door, God set before him to preach the Gospel! All the fears now flea from his life.
Jesus touched his heart and mind. Bubba is a transformed man with a strong Christian testimony. If it wasn’t for Jesus, he might have end up in the mad house! God is good!
