Bukom Banku, now popularly known as Banku Flesh has revealed that he has stopped bleaching his skin after months of toning left him looking like a different person.
After almost four months of excessively toning his skin following the advice of his wife, the Ghanaian boxer has suddenly stopped using bleaching products in order to regain his previous skin tone.
Bukom Banku in several interviews said he was changing his skin tone based on his aspiration of becoming Ghana’s ambassador to Germany if President Mahama won the 2016 elections.
However, TV presenter Israel Laryea and Charles Takyi of Ghanaweb.com reported on social media that Bukom Banku has decided to stop bleaching.
Israel Laryea posted on one of his social media pages: “Was on the same flight from Takoradi with Bukom Banku whose decision to bleach his skin in recent months was of major concern to many Ghanaians. Well, he says he’s stopped bleaching and it’s quite evident from the pictures, or? He says Ghana people talk too much.”
Banku Flesh claims he spent GHC1,000 every week on bleaching creams.
